Pizza Value Calculator - Privacy Policy

Effective date: April 10, 2026

This privacy policy (this "Privacy Policy") informs users of the Pizza Value Calculator Chrome Extension (the "Extension") and the Pizza Value Calculator website (the "Website"), collectively referred to as the "Services".

Purpose

The purpose of this Privacy Policy is to inform users of our Services of the following:

  1. The personal data we collect;
  2. Use of collected data;
  3. Who has access to the data collected; and
  4. The rights of Service users.

Personal Data We Collect

We do not collect any personal data.

Unlike many other applications, the Pizza Value Calculator is designed to operate entirely locally on your device. We do not require you to create an account, nor do we track, collect, or transmit any personally identifiable information (PII).

Data Processed Locally by the Chrome Extension

The Extension requires permissions such as activeTab and scripting to function. When activated on a supported pizza ordering website, the Extension temporarily reads the text (such as pizza sizes and prices) on your current webpage to calculate the price per square inch and suggest the best value.

This data processing occurs entirely locally on your device. The Extension does not transmit your browsing history, webpage content, or pizza choices to our servers or any third-party servers.

Local Storage

The Extension and Website may use your browser's local storage capabilities (the storage permission) to save your calculation history, custom pizza measurements, or personal preferences. This data remains strictly on your device and is not accessible to us or any third parties.

Third Parties

We do not share, sell, or disclose your data to third parties because we do not collect any data in the first place. You are not required to provide any personal data such as an email address, phone number, or payment information to use our Services.

Children

Because we do not collect any personal data, we do not knowingly or unknowingly collect personal data from children under 16 years of age.

Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We do not use tracking cookies, pixels, or third-party analytics to monitor your use of the Services.

California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA) & GDPR

Although privacy laws such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) provide various rights regarding personal data, they primarily relate to data collection and processing. As our Services do not collect any of your personal data, your privacy is fully protected by default.

Modifications

This Privacy Policy may be amended from time to time in order to maintain compliance with the law and to reflect any changes to our Services. When we amend this Privacy Policy we will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this Privacy Policy. We recommend our users periodically review our Privacy Policy to ensure they are notified of any updates.
